Daniela Mercury is a Brazilian axé, samba-reggae, and MPB singer, songwriter, and dancer born on July 28, 1965, in Salvador, Bahia. Known as the "Queen of Axé," she was the premier axé performer of the 1990s and has sold over 20 million records worldwide.
