WHAT ARE C33X LIKE?
Imagine the lollipop you were licking was the movie you were watching - a battle of the senses.Over a drink or three they just might blab that they gleefully absorb inspiration from Bowie, West Side Story, Some Like it Hot, David Lynch movies and Jeff Buckley. To call them 'Japan playing Nirvana', would be a groping attempt at portraying the anarchy that squats in their hearts and the poetry which haunts their minds. And, did we mention 'SONGS'? C33X write songs. Songs, songs, songs. They don't produce a 'sound' or bloodsuck on what's 'happening'. They Construct. Create. Conceive. They also entertain.

To witness the quintet peddle their wares of raw emotion and cinematic magnitude on the boards of a stage of petite proportions is to witness the living embodiment of the fine line between brave and stupid. Then, the art of C33X is partially in the hands of the volatile mother PA system and her insubordinate offspring monitors. Yet, it has to be said, to see them tackle their material in such scenarios, does give their performance that valiant edge. A David and Goliath appeal. Sonic soldiers of the apocalypse defying the allegorical oppressor. Er, etc
